Vegetation Inspection and Work Planning
These services thoroughly evaluate vegetation near power lines, enabling precise control over workload, scheduling and budget forecasting. Includes a detailed tree inventory to help identify and mitigate potential hazards, and reduce the risk of vegetation-related outages and other safety concerns. Using inventory insights, we develop a work plan covering species types, locations and growth to clarify risks and optimize workload prioritization.
Additional benefits:
- Get access to accurate data to prioritize higher-risk trees and facilitate effective maintenance planning.
- Geospatial and informational data collection provides accurate historical and current vegetation inventories, improving workflow and planning accuracy.
- Ensure overall infrastructure safety by minimizing risks such as electricity outages, wildfire hazards, soil erosion, and water quality issues.
- Create efficiencies that support system reliability and community safety.
Our Inspectors
The UVM inspector is the most important position in the inspection team. They are the first line of defense; the eyes, ears and face of the utility. These professional arborists identify and prescribe work to maintain clearance, mitigate hazards and promote positive public relations. We are dedicated to providing a great working environment and long term employment for our inspectors, so you always have trusted professionals in your corner.
CFVM inspectors can facilitate existing inspection activity, work with your UVM team to modify your existing program or create one from scratch. We have decades of experience working with large and small utilities, and live by a motto of “always see everything”, which emphasizes quality over quantity. We would rather spend twice as long assessing a single span in order to guarantee an effective assessment of ALL aspects of your UVM scope, while still being able to recognize and report out-of-scope, value-added conditions. Although it may not work with every program, we believe that limited site visits by single inspectors qualified to assess multiple program types adds efficiency and improves client satisfaction.
We utilize project management tools to track planned projects, assignments, client connections and anything else that helps monitor workflow. We can also automate email notifications and reports to keep all stakeholders up to date.
